Keeping Your Activity Streak Alive: How It Works
Your Activity Streak in the Volt Training App helps you understand your overall progress over time. You can find it in the Side Menu, and under the Progress tab on the Stats page.
What is an Activity Streak?
Your Activity Streak is the number of consecutive weeks you’ve completed at least one activity in. Volt shows both your Current Streak and Best Streak ever in the Progress section.

Whether you’re just starting out or on a long streak, every week counts. Streaks reset if a full week passes without a logged activity, so keep training to keep it alive.
What Counts as an Activity?
An Activity completed in Volt can be a:
- Workout
- Warm-up
- Primer
- Conditioning
- Finisher
- Drill
- Custom Activity
(An activity within a streak does not count any workouts that are sent from Apple/Google Health from your device like a run, swim, bike, etc.)
What if I Miss a Week?
If you go a full calendar week (Sunday - Saturday) without completing an activity, your streak will reset to zero.
But don’t worry—life happens! You can always start a new streak the next time you log an activity. Consistency builds over time, and every comeback counts.
Volt also tracks your best streak ever—so even if you miss a week, you can still see your longest run of consistency and aim to beat it.
Why Did My Streak Change? What Happened To My Old One?
We recently updated how streaks work to make them a more accurate reflection of your real-world consistency. In the past, your streak was simply a record of how many workouts you had completed in a row within a program. It served more as a personal accountability tracker than a true time-based streak.
However, this old system had a few flaws:
- You could go back and complete missed workouts from earlier weeks and still grow your streak—even if you hadn’t trained consistently.
- The logic behind the streak calculation became increasingly error-prone as Volt evolved, and sometimes didn’t reflect what users expected.
The new system is simple and meaningful: your streak continues when you complete at least one activity per calendar week (Sunday - Saturday). If you go a full week without completing an activity or workout, your calendar resets. This gives you a clearer, more motivating picture of your actual consistency over time.
We know it can be tough to see a long streak reset, but this change ensures streaks are fair, transparent, and truly earned. And don’t worry—your best-ever streak is still saved, so you can celebrate what you've accomplished and aim to beat it.
How Do Streaks Relate to Streak Milestone Achievements?
When you hit major training streaks — like 4, 8, or 20 consecutive weeks — you’ll earn a Streak Milestone badge. You can view your badges in the Achievements page on the Progress tab.
Once you earn a Streak Milestone, it’s yours to keep — even if you break your streak. Your Current Streak will simply reset, and you can continue working toward your next Streak Milestone with your next workout.
