What is an estimated one-rep maximum (e1RM)?

Estimated one-rep max

In Volt, an estimated one-rep maximum is a set-by-set projection of the most weight you can theoretically lift in a movement at a given time. e1RMs are used to recommend the most accurate weights for you during a workout, based on how you are feeling and performing that day. Your e1RM can change over the course of a single workout, making it a much more dynamic and timely measurement of your strength in any given workout.

Using an e1RM allows Volt to recommend the most accurate weights possible from set to set, helping to meet you where you are at on any given day. Although you might see fluctuations from workout to workout (or even set to set), if you are completing Volt workouts as prescribed, your e1RM measurements should trend upward over time.
