Training on the Web with Training Mode

Athletes can log in and complete their Volt training directly in a browser, no phone or app download required.

For schools and organizations with no-phone policies, getting athletes onto Volt athletes can log in and train directly on the web in a simplified Training Mode built just for them — no phone required.

What is Web Training Mode?

When an athlete logs into Volt on the web, they're automatically dropped into a streamlined version of Training Mode focused entirely on completing their training. There are no coach or admin tools to navigate — just their program and workouts.

Getting Started (Athletes)

Log in to Volt on the web with your athlete account, and you'll be taken straight into Training Mode. From there you can view your week, start an activity, and complete your workout — all in the browser.

You can still manage the essentials:

  • View and update your equipment settings
  • Edit your profile
A focused, secure experience
  • Focused access: Athletes are routed directly into Training Mode, without distractions from coach/admin tools.
  • Secure controls: All non-training areas of the web app are locked down, keeping the experience safe and consistent.

Note: If you belong to more than one organization (for example, you're an athlete at one and a coach at another), use the org switcher in the top header to move between contexts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do athletes need to download anything?

No. Web Training Mode runs in the browser — ideal for shared computers or environments where phones aren't allowed.

What can't athletes access in web Training Mode?

The broader Coach Platform, activity log/history, and program date/seed changes are not available in this mode. It's intentionally focused on completing training.

How do we enable this for our athletes? (Admins)

(Add enablement steps and eligibility details once finalized — e.g., which athlete contexts qualify and any required settings.)

Why it matters

A growing number of schools restrict phones during the day — which shouldn't mean athletes lose access to their training. Web Training Mode gives every student-athlete a structured, phone-free way to get their work in, and gives organizations a reliable path to keep their athletes engaged.
