How do I add Coaches?

How To Add Coaches

To add a coach, go to the Users index page and click Add Users. Fill in the User Details section with the user's first and last name and email address. Under Role, choose Coach. If this coach needs to have admin privileges, allowing them to view and edit all content in your organization (including payment and account information), check the box next to Assign Admin Privileges. Learn more about roles and permissions here.

Next, add the coach to any groups they need access to. Coaches assigned to a group will be able to see and edit all content, including programs, owned by the group. A coach can be added to as many groups as needed. To add a coach to a group, click the "+" next to the group type, select the groups you wish to add the coach to, and click Done.

Coaches may also be assigned a training program, like an athlete, which they can access in the Volt Training App. Under Assign Programs, select the program you wish to assign the coach to. Note that a coach may only be assigned to a program that is owned by a group they have been added to.

At the bottom, check the Send Invite Now box if you want the coach to receive an email invite to join Volt right away. If you don't check this box, you can optionally trigger this invite to be sent later. Finally, click Add User.

To add many coaches at once, click the Add Many Users tab. You can paste up to 200 email addresses of coaches you wish to invite, separated by commas.

Removing Coaches

On the Users index page, click the Coaches subnav tab. You can manage any coaches in your organization on this page. To remove a coach, simply hover over the coach's name to reveal the ellipsis [...] menu and click Remove from Organization.

This action will remove the coach from all groups they are assigned to and will cause them to lose access to Volt.

Compliance Mode

You can also choose to turn Compliance Mode ON or OFF from the Coach's Edit Details. All coaches can manage compliance mode for themselves. Compliance Mode hides the Accountability section and hides the completed workouts from the Dashboard. This is best utilized by NCAA teams who are restricted by NCAA compliance rules.
